For something a bit different, why not try the BEST POSSIBLE mountain biking experience in the Snowys - (or anywhere else in Australia): Our extremely fun 'Lunar-cy Ride' up the highest mountain in Australia - in real style.
MAKING THE ASCENT OF MT. KOSCIUSZKO - Australia's highest mountain - for many is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and an 'experience' it should be. Every full-moon in summer Sacred Ride organises a bike ride to the top of Australia, involving a ride from Charlotte Pass to Rawson's Pass then a short walk to the summit which includes: Bike and gear hire, a lift to Charlotte Pass (leaving 5:30pm), a guided tour of the range by our support team, and a shot or two of Wildbrumby Schnapps upon reaching the summit as you watch the sun set over the main range and the full-moon appear in the Eastern sky.
Later in the evening, we'll make a pleasant descent under the light of the full-moon, return to Jindabyne and have a light supper and a glass of wine, Kozciuszko Pale Ale or soft drink and share experiences. It's pretty Cool....

The Small Print: The ride only commences under agreeable weather conditions (under poor conditions including cloud cover, we will try to re-schedule for the next day). The final decision will be made at 5:00pm on the day, (If we cancel - 90% of all money refunded). Other Cancellation Refunds (if you have to pull out): 90% refund; within 7 days; 50% refund >48 hours; 10% refund if <48 hours). A basic level of fitness is required for the ride. Please talk to us if you have any concerns of the difficulty of the ride. Pack warm clothing including gloves! Lights and helmets mandatory for ride and are included in bike hire costs.
SUMMIT KOSCIUSZKO

We can organise a tour to take you to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko anytime from late November to late April dependent on snow coverage. Same route as our Lunar-cy Tour. We can tailor your tour to your needs - just a shuttle, drop off and pickup at Charlotte Pass or including guiding and refreshments.

MUNYANG TOUR

Schlink Hilton Hut 22km return

Geehi Reservoir 29km one way
This long, high altitude ride starting from Guthega Power Station (Munyang) across the Snowy River, it climbs a gravel road which zig zags steeply uphill. After around 4km, look on your left for the track to Horse Camp Hut. Built in the 1950s for surveyors this corrugated iron hut has a distinctive red door.
Back on the main track, continue another 4km to White’s River Hut. You’ll pass some of the oldest snow gums in the park, heath, and boulder fields that are home to rare mountain pygmy possums.
Built for shepherds in 1934, then used by ski tourers, White’s River Hut is a good stop to refuel before a further 1.5km up the valley to Schlink Pass. At 1800m, this is the highest point on the ride. Next is Schlink Hut, 1.5km downhill. Also called the Hilton, for its size, it was built in 1961 for maintenance workers. Rest and enjoy the beautiful stream nearby and have a bite to eat before returning the way you came.
Or, you could continue onto Valentine Falls and check out Valentine Hut before returning.
Intrepid riders can do a through trip to tackle the steep winding descent to Geehi Reservoir. This involves organising us to pick you up at the end of the day.
